AMD FX 6300 extremely LOW temps!

Hi,

I have my AMD FX 6300 overclocked to 4ghz and the temps im getting are quite astounding. Im using IC Diamond 24 Carat paste and an MSI Dragon All in One Watercooler. I initially though it was being read wrong but in the bios it says the same low temps and ive tried a few other temp monitoring software who all say the same. Have i just been lucky?

AMD temp sensors are crap, basically

It's not that cool, they all seem to read very low.

What temps do you think they are then? It says in bios anything from 12 to 18 degrees?

Core temp might not be working correctly on your board. What does it say its ideling at in the bios.

you will not get the real temps till about 40c with fx cpu's,

push that overclock to 4.5ghz and you will get more of a idea of whats temps your at

What voltage would you recommend for 4.5ghz?

1.2654 which is just slightly over stock i think.

When I was using a 6300 i would sit at idle around 34-36c

give it 1.35, check if your sable at 4.5 with temps under 62c

you could maybe hit 5ghz with less than 1.45 but you may need to put a fan over the vrms
