Morning folks.
I have just put together a new build consisting of the an AMD FX 6350 and an MSI 970A-G46 board and am a little confused by the CPU fan and temps?
I have updated the BIOS to the latest version (2.5) but from the first boot the CPU temp in the BIOS is sitting anywhere between 40 - 60 degrees at idle and the fan is around 5800 RPM which is really loud. There is no over clock on it at all and I have checked that the heatsink is seated properly and have re done the paste with some Arctic 5 but it still seems the same.
I have also downloaded Core Temp and that is showing the idle temp around 26 - 36 degrees but the fan is still spinning up and down like nobody's business Nd is really loud!
Does anyone have any ideas? Possible mobo RMA?
Thanks
