AMD FX-8120

Probably because the game YOU play would use all 4 cores and/or not very CPU demanding, or your graphic card isn't faster enough to benefit from the faster CPU; or you just plain not very good at noticing the difference. You can't claim there's no difference unless you actually got frame rate and GPU usage figures to compare before and after, like someone has done in one of the thread in the CPU forum. If you play games like mmos or Total Wars series or Starcraft II, the difference would be HUGE.

I am not saying there is no differance in FPS. I am just saying that the games I have played ( uhmmmm bf3, dirt2/3, rift, d3, gw2 to name a few ) ran smoothly on both setups. The biggest difference and reason why I even upgraded in the first place was for streaming - the 955 was fully loaded and hardly coping with high quality streaming on dropping fps left and right and have huge fps drops where the 3770k is hardly breaking a sweat at 30-80% load max.

Ofcourse the above is fully understable when comparing 3yr old setup that costed me less for cpu+mobo+ram than the new CPU alone but that's different topic.

The FX has a gender?

That also doesn't make any sense as to how comparing those two CPU's aren't fair, in that comparison the FX comes out on top by quite a distance, obviously there's factors involved and I'd never take an FX over a lynfield.

Course it has. It has a lot of balls calling it's self Bulldozer, with that kind of IPC! :p
