These cards are seriously quick, infact they hardly loose out to the 2GB model at resolutions 1920x1080 and below. So for £130, this is a huge amount of performance for the money!!! :)

WTF!!! What a deal! Only 1GB video memory but still good if you don't need more..

Yep but with a full fat 256-Bit interface and a whopping 4800MHz GDDR5 frequency memory. Yep 2GB will be quicker at higher resolutions and high AA/AF settings. But at this price nothing can come close to this level of performance for the money.

We finally have a true sucessor to the amazing 6870! :)

Hmm, might just upgrade to this! How much would I get for each of the games as well, about £10 for each one?

As said how would it cope with BF 3 at 1080P? Although I wouldn't be putting everything to ultra, but high/medium instead.

What about temps. and noise levels?

EDIT:

Would my 500W antec EW PSU be fine? (have M4 SSD, 2 WD eco green drives, 1 samsung F3, i5 750, 8GB RAM (stock clocks) and 3 120mm fans)

EDIT 2:

Also are prices likely to drop any lower than this within the next month or 2?

copes with bf3 just fine, and easy to overclock,im speaking from the 2gb card though

2gb of vram would be nice,1gb might struggle on bf3??

If my much loved 5870 copes with BF3 on high @ 1080p, this also will.

True!

Thanks.

500w be plenty for a card like this, only needs 1 pci 6 pin in the picture. Probs is worth the £20 for bf3 with 2gb lol.

Thanks.

As said above, not too bothered about ultra settings and max AA etc. be happy with high/medium settings and at least 50FPS.

On a very tight budget so if I can sell the games to bring it below £100, then I won't have any complaints :D :p

Anything will be better than my 4850 512MB  :o

:p

Its amd/ati tho. lol

The 1gb tho will hurt. If your gona get a nice card now get more than 1gb if you can. The 2gb model in the 7850 range isnt a whole lot more and if you sell the games then it can be near this cards price.

The 256bit bus tho is very nice tho. I would have guessed they would have it cut down to 192bit or something.

Just had a look on the members market and I could sell the games for a total of £30 (max)

EDIT:

Just remembered that I don't get free shipping to NI any more, which is like £9 as well........ *sigh*

Will wait a bit longer I guess or see if somewhere else matches the same or betters it, but with cheaper shipping.
