AMD have been working with Samsung to bring RDNA graphics to smartphones. AMD could learn a lot about managing power from this, as i'm sure Nvidia do from their 'ARM + GeForce' Shield Tablets.

Performance looks very promising, where the CPU is not the bottleneck it looks like AMD Graphics are near 3X faster than current Qualcomm Ardeno Graphics.

At least now AMD have a critical need to bring their power levels right down, which would also benefit high-end Desktop cards.

If AMD keep this up they'll become a household name instead of intel I got a feeling Snapdragon might start struggling soon
Samsung+ AMD making chips
Apple make their own & soon Google will be making their own chips as well and if the Samsung AMD chip does well we might end up seeing them in other brands

Qualcomm get many challengers and they always seem to come out on top.

AMD are surely getting that performance with a far higher thermal envelope. Maybe targetting portable gaming devices.
