Only one day away until AMD kicks off it's launch event in Hawaii. AMD promising big news that even the cynical will be impressed.

Will sell the 780 and get one if it's at least 10-15fps better in most games, if not don't see the point.

If 10-15fps I would do the same, except prob give my GTX 780 to my boys, and sell their 7950 3GB.

Annoying all this new tech tbh :p, prob upgrade again when Pirate Islands / Maxwell launch. Expensive being nerdy..

Lol.

Broomstick said the same thing one day ago. Now he's already said he's getting one and he's creating Hawaii threads left right and centre. I give you one more day, then you break.

Lol wut.. No way I'm getting one if the performance isn't their. What would be the point? An extra 10-15fps over a 780 would be very impressive, especially with extra vram and all that compute power. Very tempting. Have to wait for benchmarks now though. Max OC VS Max OC is important as well..

We both know you will, but you're still in the denial stages i see. ;)

This is the key, is it so hard for reviewers to do this? hardly any bother.

Anyway if it is 10-15fps (both at max oc) then I'll definitely consider trading.

I won't break unless the performance gain is what I said, no point selling a well clocking 780 I got for just over £400 for something around the same performance without PhysX etc etc.

There are generally NDA's which prevent such comparisons. Expect AMD's new card to be compared to stock NVidia products only (although they will be allowed to show overclock results for Hawaii:)). The same applies whenever NVidia provides new cards for review.

10fps and let say the 780 does 80fps, so it means 12% faster.
you reach that with a tiny OC.

Now OC, and if you play with eyefinity this is the place we will see the largest margins of differences, 2560 resolution a perfect card OC?
I would assume 20% difference.

so yes your going red...:D
