Amd hiring a Cpu engineer to enhance there Gpu Drivers.

Aren't AMD drivers on par with nvidia these days or even better I've noticed people in the AMD drivers thread say.

Amd drivers have been good for a while now. The main gripe atm is having to wait so long on this new driver. If this improves cpu utilization and Gpu performance then it's all good.

We've been hearing the same story since 1999 when they were ATI.

Most games are developed around NVidia's drivers because they are the industry standard, it's rare that a game is released and AMD don't need a driver update to fix things.

Yes but on the other hand nvidia seem to rush out drivers for every new game release and some of them are awful for other games.

Is this a new role, or simply filling a position that's come available from someone leaving?

Maybe I missed something, but there is nothing in the article I could see to say one way or another.

What a load of total bull when NV cant release drivers fast enough because of so many issues, pure comedy.
If NV dont need new drivers when new game is released then why are they releasing drivers for new releases ten to the dozen and in a poor state.

Are you trolling or do you actually believe this?

In terms of reliability yes I think, but Nvidia do see to have the edge when I comes to features and recently due to their DX11 CPU optimisations, performance as well. Nvidia drivers aren't perfect either though. No sli dsr and g-sync for example.

AMD do seem to be trying to level the playing field though.

I don't have an Nvidia card though, so that's just how it see from an AMD point of view. I only play bf4 and mantle is the best for that so it's all AMD win as far as I'm concerned.

As for the news I think it's great. Any improvement is a good thing.
