Ever since the good old days when AMD were the king of the overclocking scene (AXIA any one?) i have been totally one sided with computing. I have to say though from what i have been reading the new Conroe chips are something to be desired.

So quite simply, will i be impressed if i upgrade from the spec in my sig to this:

Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6600 2.40GHz Retail / Abit AB9 Pro / 2GB GeIL PC2-6400C4 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle

Graphics to be upgraded when crysis is released ;)

Would it be better if i went for the E6300? i only ever use my pc for gaming and web browsing but i am wanting a cpu that will allow me to play alan wake and crysis at a reasonable res/detail setting. I can afford the E6600 but am moving into my new flat in jan and the misses would kill me if i spend more than i need to :p
