Hi all.
Been out of the game a while and am looking for some advice for an Intel noob.
I'm currently running an MSI 970-G46 with an AMD FX-8320. This was the first part of my old build and has never been replaced in its 4 years of existence. I originally used my PC for Uni work and so an Octo core was a decent shout. Now, however, it's an almost pure gaming work horse. Hence the Intel switch. I'm assuming things are still the same with fewer, faster cores being better for gaming?
Its all speculative atm but what kind of things could I go for that would be appropriate for a mid range rig? For around £300?
Current spec:
MB: MSI 970-G46
CPU: AMD FX 8320 @ 4.2Ghz.
RAM: Hyper Fury X 16GB (4x4GB)
PSU: Corsair CX750W
GFX: ASUS Strix 970
