Hi,

I'm looking to build a HTPC using an AMD Llano CPU as recommended by a user here. I have no idea what to look for when it comes to AMD kit, so I was wondering if someone could recommend a cheap Llano Mobo for a HTPC? Also could anyone recommend a silent PSU? I'm only looking to power an SSD, 1 or 2 HDD's and an optical drive.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ross

Thanks for the replies.

Ha, sorry. It would have helped if I supplied that information. I have just been offered a V350 LianLi case, so I need to consider a Micro-ATX mobo now.

Thanks in advance.

Been doing a bit of research today and was looking at this as a possible setup:

Either Silverstone GD05B Grandia Micro-ATX Case or Silverstone Milo ML03B Micro ATX, Black, Slim/HTPC Case with USB3 or LianLi v352
Asus F1A75-M AMD A75 Socket FM1 Motherboard
AMD Llano A6-3500 Tri-Core Processor with Integrated AMD Radeon HD, 6530D
Either XFX P1-450S-U2B9 Pro Series Core Edition 450W Modular or Silverstone Tech. Strider SST-ST50F-ES 500W

i see no problems with the spec you have put there, that's a quality motherboard from a quality manufacturer, CPU is good for an HTPC, graphics are more than adequate, the psu's you have mentioned are also nice, however if you want to save a bit more cash i'm sure that that spec wont need as much as 450w. (but i suppose this depends on how many HDD's etc you will have installed)
