But the OP's not asking about Llano's strengths, merely as a CPU, and Llano is just a tweaked Athlon II X4 on the CPU side of things.

should work for Intel marketing though! hate to say it, but he is right about the unfair comparison, because it does take a dump all over Intel in its target market. fair enough the OP isn't that target market but its not the time for a little dig at how Llano is terrible, when it is better than Intel in its target segment. don't get me wrong Llano isn't a great CPU, but as a package for the right sort of customer it is bang on. but in the OP situation he would be better of with a CPU and discrete GPU rather than onboard, but, and it is a big but. if tweaking isn't on the agenda for this individual either an Intel or AMD would do fine, they'll not notice the difference in their day to day uses since on a pure £/performance factor there is hardly anything between them.
