amd mobo spec. please help

Hi guys,
Some of you may have seen my mobo post in general hardware. Basically, its done 3 years and given up. So, ill be getting a new one. I dont mind spending big on a mobo as i feel it makes the pc more future proof. Plus its going to be the starting point for redoing my pc (more ram/new processor).

At the mo ive got:
Phenom II X4 955, 3.2 GHz socket am3
4gb ddr3 ram
ssd

Basically whats the best mobo? Is it worth switching to intel at this point or should i stick with amd. Whats the best value?

Would my processor work in an am3+ socket?

Hey guys. Just updated the info. Ive just moved house so no broadband till next month (cheers openreach...) . Makes research a little tough.

I'm in the same situation only my board is still alive. Not sure whether to get a sabertooth 990fx or hold off until Haswell arrives and completely swap out for an intel build.

I narrowed it down to the sabertooth 990fx or the asrock extreme4

I have the Sabertooth and it is rock solid. UEFI bios is so much easier to use as well.

Opened a thread in the cpu section. Seems that intel is the way to go.
