*** AMD "Navi 3X" (RDNA 3 discussion thread) ***

But will the doubled power consumption & double the price be just as impressive? At a minimum.

If that's true, they better give up and cancel the projects.
Because no one will buy the cards :D

Nowadays, the inflated scalper GPU prices ruin the CPU sales, imagine if that worsens... Bye-bye PC industry :D

Every gen people bang on about double the performance but will be double the price. It is like they do not have access to a search engine or common sense. Price for performance always improves over time. If the price was tied to performance then GPU would cost as much as a house by now.

Just look at the 3070 which has about the same performance as a 2080 Ti yet it costs way less than half, closer to a third.

Question - does AMD plan to cut the PCI Express bus width on the Navi 3X GPUs like it has been previously infamously done?

You know integrated Vega in mobile Ryzen gets full x16 bus width, while full desktop versions of much faster graphics cards get cut to x4 or x8 bus width?

AMD like Nvidia will give you the performance they think is worthy at the price point. if they want to slow a card down by giving it lower Pci-e bandwidth they will do so. Why cut back the chip more when they can simply limit it through the interface if indeed the card has more to give in the first place.
