AMD new duel core driver ???

Hi All

I think it was last week sometime and I noticed a couple of threads on the new May 06 AMD duel core driver.
There was some uncertainty about installing the driver by some forum members on whether it would screw up there systems (including me ). It sounded like it was a bit to much like Cool and Quiet that helped to put me off!
I would like to know form those who did bite the built and install the driver. Has there been any problems since installing and has there been any noticeable performance difference good or bad???

Only that my old driver would not uninstall, just gave me setup.exe has terminated. I had to unpack the new driver and use driver update from hardware panel. Its been on the new one for awhile, no problems yet and I don't use CnQ. No quicker as far as I can tell.

It made my system hang fot about 30 seconds after POST before the Windows logo appeared. Once in Windows my DVD drive had disappeared.

It would probably work from a clean install of Windows.

I installed it on 4400 x2 and all is fine , went on then rebooted and loaded back as normal no hangs , glitches or weird stuff happening at all .

I was one of the ones saying if it's not broke don't fix it, but that was before i got counter strike. I started playing and performance didn't seem upto much, jiggering a lot. So as i said the dual core driver would be the first place i would look if i had problems, i went and installed it after creating a restore point. Stuttering in css has now gone and everything else works as before, but it has created problems for some people so i still say if you don't have a problem don't install it.

installed fine over here

its only a CnQ driver, it enables the "minimal power management" option in power saving options, that's all.. it doesnt "force" CnQ on

The driver does more than just CAQ, Flat Out just didn't work on a fresh install WO the AMD driver, soon as I installed driver, rebooted it worked.

Just installed the driver.
No problems so far Fingers crossed.
