hi all
i am about to build a system for a friend and i am going to build an AMD system for first time. graphics are not an issue so integrated is fine (best for the price obviously), a 17'' tft, at least a gb of ram, at least 160gb h/d.

can some of you AMD lovers point me in the right direction for about £600
cheers

cheers you are right -victim of their own success
today was'nt too bad, but the advice givin is a pain when you are waiting, however that was us once upon a time, clueless that is
some dumbass doing a build apparently smeared the arctic silver all over the pins of their processor thinking that was the way
retorted by the sales staff to the OC queue (not crew)

for me OC is cheaper cos i dont have to pay p&p, when on the odd occasion (which is rare) i find something cheaper on the net, the price is offset by the p&p, also i can take it back easily if there is a problem.
my wife has just suggested a dedicated advice person, and one just for sales
hmmm dont know about that,
maybe a comedian or a clown, or mime artist entertaining the queue
im exaggerating about the queue being that much of an issue, unless you are in a rush.
you get to learn stuff about the products in the queue

you can usually guarantee that the supplies are vetted well, ie they dont stock crap
one bone of contention, sapphire RMA-appalling
