AMD: Official Press Release for newest APUs

Your press releases show 3 apu's but uk retailers only seem to have 7850k and 7700k, what happened to the A8-7600K, when can we buy those?

Will the new driver add support for true audio and mantle or will we have to wait for a new driver update for those?

Have professional reviewers like anandtech used this v14.1 driver for their reviews or will this driver give us a performance improvement over the scores in reviews?

I saw on a review that hevc a.k.a h265 can be hardware decoded using an api that lets you use gpu computing power to do it (can't remember the name of your video technology), will r200 desktop gpu's be able to hardware decode h265 too or just kaveri apu's? Will we get vp9 hardware decoding support (google's opensource video codec)?

I take it this only has hdmi 1.4a and can't be upgraded via driver/bios to support hdmi 2.0 when that is released?

Hi Warsam71.

Good work on Kaveri, its a great APU.

But, speaking to you as a fan of AMD and a previous long time AMD CPU owner, CPU performance since the Phenom II has not changed, take out higher clock rates and more cores the performance is the same.
Kaveri just continues on with that, the CPU performance (core for core, clock for clock) is now so far behind Intel its insane.

I run an old i7 930 which at the same clock speed and HT off destroys the Steam Roller core.

SR was even just as fast as that Bloomfield core, i would have switched back to such a 6 or 8 core AMD CPU, i still have a Sabertooth AM3+ Motherboard boxed up sitting around waiting for something like that.

Its never going to happen is it?

Hi suj999,

Yes there will be as the APU desktop series will be available in 95W and 65W TDP options with support for configurable TDP.

Thanks.

Just ordered a A10-7850K for a normal pc and was waiting for the A8-7600 to be released so can build a HTPC around it but will wait to see what this 65W based A10 can do. If known how will it differ from the A8-7600? (sit lower or higher)
