hey guys just wanted to know if Opteron is the same as Athlon?

also is it multi locked? and if set to say 2.2ghz and althlon 1mb cache at 2.2ghz is it exactly the same?

939 Opteron 146 is the same core as the 2.2 Ghz 64 3700+ San Diego, just clocked 200 Mhz lower. They are multi-locked upwards same as Athlon 64s. Performance is identical to the equivalent Athlon 64/X2.

yeah as above really, just worth adding that the 3700+ has an 11x max multi and the 146 has a 10, not really important unless you have a pants board.
