AMD Or Intel help.

Id like to see a peformance boost in games really.

Also i use fraps a lot which is quite a peformance hit in some of the more demanding games

Is there anything else i can do to get better peformance when using fraps with this current build?

Ive been looking at a 670 but unsure if id get a bottleneck

Any suggestions?

thanks

Your not bottlenecking the GTX 560ti, but you would bottleneck a GTX 670 in some games, for a GPU like that i would say you should get a 2500K / 3570K.

Or just wait a while see what Haswell or Piledriver have to offer, Piledriver should be out before the end of this year.

Yeah im going to go intel i think

should have done to start with lol.

If you have the money and can comfortably spend it, then go for it.

I made the jump a couple of weeks ago from a 1055T to a 3570K and it massively improved my playing experience in games like Shogun 2 and Battlefield 3. But then I am using it with a 680GTX so I was probably seeing more of a bottleneck with my AMD CPU, so you may not see the massive jump that I did.

What games do you play?

BF3, skyrim, metro2033

stuff like that mate.

Bit of everything tbh

I bought a 7970 and that was the reason for my to ditch my 955 and go intel. Since you're only on a 560 I'd wait for the next cpu series, unless you are upgrading your GPU soonish then go ivy.
