AMD or Intel set-up? :/ need help!

Cheapish Spec- need help!

Hey guys,
I'm agonizing over what way to go here so thought I'd post and ask for some guidance

My current set-up is a 4200 amd 64 with a crappy msi am2 motherboard
also got 4GB Corsair PC6400 ram (4x1g sticks)
and a nvidia 9600GT
Running on vista 64 (with no probs)

Sooo, I'm looking for an upgrade on my cpu and mobo and have around an £85 budget so had a good look on the site and came up with these 2 options

Option 1: AMD

Option 2: Intel

Maybe there's an option 3 that I'm not seeing? lol anyways, hopefully someone can help and hopefully this won't become a fanboi topic, I've always gone with AMD but will change if the difference in Intel is superior.

I game quite a lot (mainly WoW but also stuff like GTA4, CoD games L4D etc etc which my current setup does run ok believe it or not lol) and play around with overclocking casually.

yeah not a lot I'm afraid, 80-90 quid

Best bet would be to go used for that budget really.

Generally, AMD will be cheaper. You planning on overclocking?
