AMD or Intel

Looking at upgrading my system

Foxconn A79A-S
AMD Phenom II X4 940

or

Foxconn ELA Digital Life
Q9650

is what I have narrowed the choice down to.

Already have 8Gb of DDR2 memory to install into the board, along with a Xi-Fi Platinum,

I only play games like

C&C 3
Total War Series

although on a Dell 3008WFP.

Really not into Call of Duty etc anymore

Which of the above choices would people recommend and why.

by the time you've paid that much for the Q9650 you may as well have got an i7

your talking £400 for that foxconn board and the q9650

when you can get the retail I7 920, foxconn x58 board and 6gig of corsair ddr3 ram for £455

so sell your 8gigs of ram you have just now and go I7 and you'r set to go

doesnt the dfi lanparty have sli? why not get a couple of tasty GFX cards??
