AMD or Intel?

Hi I currently have a fx-4100 OC to 4.1Ghz. I want to upgrade but should I stick with AMD or switch to Intel? My board is an ASUS m5a78l-m/usb3

I have a R9 280 gpu, 1080p 60hz monitor 8GB vengeance RAM. I can stretch my budget up to £400 if I want to change to Intel but not sure whether I will be getting a good enough board and cpu, or stick with AMD and get a 8320e?

Also I feel the cpu is holding me back in games I find some games the frame rate is lower than the benchmarks for the gpu.

Problem with your board you don't have any heatsinks on the cpu VRM'S and this will course higher end AMD cpu's to throttle.

So you think I should switch to Intel?

I have been looking at an asus Z97-K board as I will be able to use my RAM but which cpu to get?

Ok I will wait and see. What is the best intel motherboard to go with the i5 4690k?
