It's getting near the end of the month which means I can get a new graphics card of some sort (not brand new unless I wind up with over 100 spare) but an upgrade and while the game is nvidia bound according to the loading screen I have read mix reviews on which is actually better for this game, so to save making difference topics for this, I am now asking for 1 for final verdict as I've got to plan ahead as missus birthday in 3ish week.

Cheers

He wont buy a 980 let alone a 980ti, this guy buys still like R9 270's and even thats pushing the boat out for him...

See if you can pick up a cheap 970 from fleabay or something.

i dont have money to throw at expensive high end stuff thats why and i dont usually game enough to justify the price either and so there is a lot of choice on the used market i look in, i own mad max too, but im not going to splash out high if i dont need to, if anything i would spend 100 on a new rx 460 or for upto 150 id spend on a used 970 or for a fiver over the 460 is buy the 280x.

as far as budget goes, i am in the middle of looking for a xbox one and decent deals can be had from 120-150, so if i skip the console then that be my budget, but i am after the console which is why i dont try to aim high on graphic cards, i just need RB6S to run on better detail and mad max to run smoother.

Thanks for reply.

Funny change of events happened, I ended up paying little over £300 on a Xbox one S deal and some games lol and what is slightly annoying now is earlier on gum I found a msi 4gb oc 970 for £120 boxes as well  which is only about 40-50 minutes away. Think if I purchased it now though it just be for the sake of it as I have FH3 deal and I picked up BO3 on xb1 so haven't touched my computer all day. Still will need something for RB6 and mad max when I get round to playing them again.

As the above comments I'd go for a 970/1060.

Or if your really stuck on a budget go for a second hand 7970. Still a very capable card at 1080p. Going for around £100 now.

Tbh with the budget you normally come here with your going to get better mileage outta being a console gamer, atleast you know your going to be getting acceptable fps @ 1080p with that Xbone, plus the luxury of 4K Bluray etc.

You can pick up games cheap as chips for them as well from CEX / Game etc and also tons of online places.

Im seriously considering just ditching my PC and staying console, waiting to see how the Scorpio turns out as they may be the tipping point for me.
