AMD or Nvidia?

Yes? but its a hot and power hungry card...and the difference between it and a 6850 is a fart in a hurricane......

grab a 560ti if you want a good sinlge card alternative that will keep you sorted for a good long while....

ok cheers, will swerve it then. thought maybe the 2GB would enable a bit better settings. did notice it requires 2x6 pin PCI-E connectors.

460's are neither hot or power hungry! I'm not sure where you got that from.

found this one for £136

would this be better than 1 of my HD6850s?

the reason im thinking Nvidia is i like the intel quick sync, so with CUDA aswell it should be better? or can they not be run in conjunction?

CUDA is currently useless at encoding and is simply a marketing scam, seriously the quality is beyond awful.

so........HD6950 2GB or GTX560 1GB? or is there something around the £200 mark thats better?
