AMD Overdrive

When changing settings in AMD OverDrive, such as Voltage and CPU speed. The System Properties (when right clicking on My Computer and going to properties) still lists the CPU at stock speeds. Is this normal?

Of course, CPUID etc still report the settings I changed in AMD Overdrive. Is this just some technical thing, whereby the bios settings are still stock and not being read correctly.

Overdrive is very flaky for me, so I just use it for stability testing.

I used AMD OverDrive for monitoring temps and clock speeds but do everything through the bios.

Agree with the others, Although I have used it to test various overclock settings, and once happy I would reboot and set those overclock settings in the bios
