amd overdrive

I have always maxxed clocks in overdrive for my ATI cards, and upped the power by 20% when it became available.Then i wanted more and unlocked it via Afterburner. But yeah max clocks in overdrive for your 7970's should be totally fine, to be honest you could get more with afterburner and they would still be fine.
 
I have my 6950 at 840/1325 which is the max CCC allows, with 20% increased power. I left the fan on Auto, never goes above 60 degrees in game. Wont hurt to set it to manual for a gaming session and put it on what you feel comfy with, but like i said, my temps are more than fine, but its a non reference cooler thats quit a beast.
