well looking for a decent one but would rather not pay over the odds or have to take motherboard out which should i go for ?

upto 3.7-3.8

prefer upto 30-00 thanks . any ideas ?

Check frostytech and keep in mind most only point up/down and not back/front. Tall ram gets in the way of some of the up/downs which could be a problem. With a top mounted PSU I would aim for back/front so all your warm air is not going from GPU to CPU to PSU.

Most coolers with 120mm need about
16cm clearance.

zalman review is a bit old; here is how it does against the newer coolers.

Note the stock cooler on there at 24.6 above ambient vs 23.8 for the zalman. If your case cooling is good you won't really notice a difference.

The noise ratings may convince more.
