I have the Phenom II x 4 955 BE chip and was after a standard, basic o/c setting. I had a stable 3.6 setup for ages but then had to reset my bios (I forgot the settings and had to revert to standard).

My mobo is an Asus M4A87TD Evo and I have an Asaka Nero S cooler. Ram is 4x2Gb 1600Mhz Dual channel.

I'd like a similar overclock to what I had before, but I can't be bothered to try setting after setting :(:o

What settings would you recommend? Ta :)

Cpu Vcore: 1.4v or even 1.375v
Multiplier: 18? think 18 gives 3600

You might need to fiddle with the memory controller voltage too with all the ram slots filled to make it stable :)

NB: It will crash at 1600 unless you bump the CPU-NB volts up by between 5-10%

Edit: To clarify it will crash sporadically - it may take a few days before it happens.

If your cooling is good enough 1.5v is generally considered a safe max for the Phenoms (1.55 for some) - I would push for 4ghz with around 1.49v (set LLC high if your mobi has that setting)

Below are my settings for my old 955 using the DH14 for cooling which helps quite a lot when over clocking.
