AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition Overclocking help

My mate has an AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition CPU

He wants to overclock it buy doesn't have a clue where to start. I don't overclock (yet) so i am no help.

Read the sticky but that might aswell be in german (Can't read German!)

Any help on what to alter in bios for him to overclock it? He has a good Heatsink, not the standard one that came with it.

Typical response from easy. Just because i don't overclock or feel the need to doesn't mean my mate has to follow suit. If i knew what to do i would tell him but as you have read, i don't.

Obviously you don't want to give any constructive advice so best if you troll another thread instead!

Don't know what motherbnoard he has. Only know the CPU. He has 2gig of ram.

all overclocking assistance threads should include the following:

1. a list of the hardware used including part numbers and performance stats.....CPU as stated, 2gig ram. Not sure about mobo. Performance stats?
2. a brief description of the location of the case and what kind of environment the overclock is expected to perform in 24/7.....Under a desk!! Bedroom, dust mites and peeling wallpaper
3. your own expectations of the overclock to see if they are realistic....Good question
4. what software you have to hand to test the overclock....As stated (If you read post) No experience of overclocking so wouldn't know about that
5. how much experience you have in the motherboards bios......Obviously he hasn't overclocked and is a complete pc noob
