Ok im planing on ordering one of these in the next few weeks i was wondering if anyone knows what the stock cooler that comes with it is like as its listed as coming with a Heatsink & Fan or should i get a different cooler if so can anyone recommend anything suitable. Also anyone knows how well this can overclock?

Not sure if it comes with a heatsink or whatever, but BigToe on Xtremesystems.org has one sitting at 3.5GHz under water (test run on a DFI Expert job)... 3.2GHz is apparently stable, too, using a Gigabyte DQ6.

I think it does come with HS + FAN, but usually they dont. I've read that these can quite easily get 2.8 stable but couldnt get 2.9 @ one site.

It seems that some do and some dont. Ive seen a few reviews around the interweb that say they do, and a lot of people calling them liars for saying it does.

Ok well i contacted OcUK about the heatsink & fan and they do come with one but i would like to get a idea of what sort of cooler ships with these so i know if i have to get a 3rd party one. also this should go nice with the nforce 780a once they show them selfs.

Anyone got a 9850 yet?
Would be nice to hear how it is from someone on here.

Supposing it could get to 3.0Ghz stable, how much faster would is be compared to a AMD X2 @ same clock?

I heard a large L2/L3 cache is useful for gaming and such, is this right?

atm im trying to find out from gigabyte if my board will take one happly best answer i got was this

Is there a ETA on when the testing will be finished as im planing to order one in may also ive noticed no bios update for B3 stepping will that come soon ?

Hi,

Unfortunately we still waiting for the result from our validation department.

Ive asked them if they could let me know of any possible info on compatiblity so fingers crossed would like to know exactly what they are testing atm

Have a look on xtremesystems.org as some of the guys on there really know their shizzle. As such.

Clock for clock, I think they're between 10-20% faster than X2s depending on the application.
