Hi all,

I was looking at building a Ryzen system, however nosing around in here I am a bit concerned regarding the stability of the platform (I appreciate that it’s still early days though..)

If I was to run at stock, get memory which is on the manufacturers QVL, run latest stable bios etc. can I anticipate a relatively smooth experience now?

I’m really interested in AMD but the ‘maturity’ of the Intel platform is swaying me back that way at the moment...

Thanks for any help :)

The maturity of bios' was a little iffy at start, but I am talking first half of this year. Now I currently run a modest overclock 3.6 on stock cooling. I have gone up to 3.8 on stock but I prefer the silence. My Ripjaw V memory runs at rated 3200 C14 and the whole experience is good. Certainly a very capable PC.

So yes a smooth experience. Choose components well as with any system.

I was a die hard Intel guy till ryzen came, built a system with a 1600 @ 3.8hgz for my daughter and I couldn't be more happier mate.
