Lol, when overclocked they're the same, with the 680 winning some, and the 7970 winning some, prices will remain the same as they're effectively the same.

Oh, and the 680 is clocked mega high at stock as opposed to the 7970 being clocked low at stock.

I agree with CAT-THE-FIFTH and Marine-RX179 this gen has been a massive disappointment for me. Never has last gen's GPUs seemed so attractive especially at £180 for a 6950 and they're only bound to get cheaper. What makes it better is you're not going to be missing out on much performance either by opting for one of the older cards.
