"We’re expecting imminent price cuts to both the HD 7950 3GB and HD 7970 3GB which at time of writing are on sale for around £350 and £415 respectively. At these prices, the GTX 680 2GB immediately makes both a poor choice. It’s more than fast enough to warrant the extra £50 over an HD 7950 3GB (by an amazing 42 per in BF3 at 1920 x 1,080 with 4xAA), and considerably faster, cheaper, smaller and more efficient than the HD 7970 3GB too."

What annoys me is that we are paying the same price for the 7850 over 18 months later over the 6950

Don't mind paying if the performance is there

I agree with CAT-THE-FIFTH and Marine-RX179 this gen has been a massive disappointment for me. Never has last gen's GPUs seemed so attractive especially at £180 for a 6950 and they're only bound to get cheaper. What makes it better is you're not going to be missing out on much performance either by opting for one of the older cards.
