AMD® Phenom™ II Overclocking Thread

No worries :) yeah i thought voltage was low for 4g, but i'm not complaining lol an yes always doing prime95, been doing it for for the last hour, seen as I clocked back up to 4 just to make sure all is ok (temps 46), I know at least 12 hours should be done. Not done any gaming an only really play TDU2 the now tbh, and I'd underclock to 3.6 or something if playing, just want high OC for benches an HWBOT :)

I'll maybe get 4.2 if I up vcore it to 1.4 or above, but I thinbk i may need help with that from you guys, as I said, not sure about NB voltages an HT clocks an that,,, an memory clocking loses me a bit

My most recent effort:

I love this chip for giving me 4!

Set my 955BE RB-C3 to 16x250 4GHZ everything else at stock and its rock stable. Quite immpressed seeing as my MSI micro atx board is not the best for overclocking. Will get some pics up later tonight...

8 hour prime? If it's fully stable at 4.0ghz without a voltage increase, I'll stand up, leave my bedroom, exit through the front door of my flat, head down the corridor, and proceed directly to the foot of the stairs.

4 hours of OCCT Linpack and it was fine, max temp of 56.c, stock volts, Only changes is 16x250 and HT set to 2GHz in bios...

Hmmm, my standard VID according to CoreTemp is 1.3250v, and CPU-Z agrees!

I wonder if I've got a decent chip then!

Need to save up the pennies for an Corsair A50 and then I'm aiming for 4.0GHz!

Out of interest, which requires the least voltage:
1). Overclocking with mutli only
2). Overclocking via FSB only
3). Overclocking by a mixture of the two above

Cheers chaps!

That is a pretty awesome clock.

I'm go for something similar - my VID seems to be low enough!

Give it a go you never know. I just thought sod it set it to 4ghz 16x250 and waited to see what would happen.. So far it has been behaving nicely I might see how much more I can push it but tbh its allready way more than I will ever need...
