I win :-))

Only so far :P Wait for my 4.2Ghz, 2800Mhz NB prime run in the freezing cold tonight!

Haha : ).
Goodluck getting 2800HT tho... NB isn't hard had it running at 2.9 but no point having it higher than HT.

Anywyas, give it a try, I've had a few during night with window open but it was too cold for me and I needed some sleep ; ). I'm sure I could do 4.1, 4.2 might be bit harder with this high HT/NB. Unless you pull 1.65 through it.

why are you running your memory in single channel mode?

Probably just wrong reading due to unlock messing up but I'd take a look tho... haven't really set it this way, thanks for pointing out.

Yep figured that out already just realised that I swapped them around when I was trying to fix a bit of airflow yesterday.

Got it on dual channel and 1T mode now ^_^ testing stability.

cpu/nb freq the lowest number i had was 800.

had to use these settings

CPU RATIO + VOLTAGE
under that heading is
CPU/RATIO------17
CPU/NB FREQ-----auto
CPU OVER VOTAGE------1.45
VDDNB OVER VOTAGE------AUTO
LOADLINE CALIBRATION----0%

More on the HT link balance in 3DMark06

With CPU @ 3.3 GHz, NB @ 2.4 GHz, HT @ 1.8GHz, RAM @ DDR2 800 CL6, Stock HD4850, I got 14024.

With CPU @ 3.3 GHz, NB @ 2.1 GHz, HT @ 2.1GHz, RAM @ DDR2 600 CL6, Stock HD4850, I got 14036. New best time on this rig and I was able to drop both NB and RAM speed, while bumping up HT for a better score.

Don't know if it's anything in particular but you'l notice a lot of stuff fits nicely into the 300 times table :p

Phenom II 965 BE @ 4GHz stable

I've finally got my little Phenom II IBT stable (24 hour) & on just 1.44 Vcore. :D I'll do some screenies @ the weekend for a 12-18 IBT session as well as SuperPI.

I seem to have hit the limit of my C3 stepping though because no amount of extra voltage can get me 4.1GHz fully stable, that includes faffing with the CPU-NB voltages, PLL's etc. :(

Guess I should stop being greedy & be happy with 4GHz, lol. :D

can it pass 20 runs cause i can get mine to do like 18 then it fails :( so close this is 1.5v not going more yet.

I can't remember how many runs it was over the 24 hours but it was well into the hundreds using the maximum test. I should let U know my system is watercooled with a D-Tek Fuzion block & a ThermoChill PA120.3 radiator so can keep my CPU @ 53'C under maximum load.

Phenom II's prefer being cool over loads of voltage, AMD officially state (in the Dragon overclocking guide) that the maximum Vcore they recommend on high end air cooling in 1.55 volts but that pushed my watercooling rig almost to its limits so I dread to think what temps even a high end air-cooler would get.

Hope ya get yer 4GHz, oh & shows us yer specs in yer sig! lol

mines not watercooled but mine doesnt go above 50c even at 4 :D annd thats with just a fenrir . if i did 1.55 im sure it would go past 4.0 maybe 4.1 or 4.2 im tempted to try but dont wanna bust my cpu just yet :p

as for ram and ht / nb settings he might of messed with them he might just be finding his ultimate cpu clock first.

you evil temptress of the overclock i just got into windows at 4113 was posting on here but crashed while opening something else. this was at 1.5125v so im deffo sure with 1.55v i could probably get it stable.
