i get afew programs stop responsing sometimes but that could be down to anything really..

well i've put the vcore up to 1.45v and kept the ram at 1333mhz 7-7-7-20 1t 1.75v and im running prime95 again.

Put timings higher mate : ). 7-7-7-20 is pretty aggressive for 1600mhz.

Try 8-8-8-27 and go down from there see what's the best you can get.

I run mine at 9-9-9-22 for 1700mhz.

even at 8-8-8 1.7v its about 99% stable...

the defaults for the ram is 1600mhz 7-7-7-20 2t 1.7v which it should work at that. if the ram isn't stable at that why do they sell them?

even patriot as said they should work at that.

2t, you've got 1t, also, if you check memory SPD tab on CPU-Z, what does it say for 1600mhz rated? Is it surely 1.7v and 7-7-7-20?

Sometimes they rate it 7-7-7-20 but it's at lower speed and/or high volts - little marketing gimmnick ;-).
 
well prime95 as been running for 5hours so far without errors, this is with 1.45v vcore and ram at 1333mhz 7-7-7-20 1t 1.75v.

what i don't understand is why was it stable with 1.425v vore before but now needs 1.45v. maybe the cpu is degrading slightly?

i've still got to get the ram settings sorted somehow....:(

well it seem stable now, its done 8 hours without issues but tbh its weird that the system was stable with 1.425v vcore before but now it needs 1.45v



maybe in afew days ill get the memory sorted...

I haven't posted in here for a while, I'm really busy at the moment and haven't had any time to get stuck in with it. I still havn't given up on the idea of getting a C2 stable at 3.9ghz though lol. Problem is my board doesn't want to go to 1.6v, 1.55v seems to be the most stable voltage it'll give. :(

Now I see free things though, might be time to get cracking with it! :P
