AMD could counter with a dual GPU card too. After all there was noise of a reduced power consumption Tahiti XTL,which would make a dual GPU card more palatable. However,I really doubt they have a new GPU,unless the R9 290X was a salvage part itself and the Hawaii GPU had more shaders to be unlocked.
TBH,I think they would not bother,and it will be custom pre-overclocked cards which will be the ones aiming at the GTX780TI.

I don't think there's much truth in this unless it's a dual gpu card but it would be funny if amd did release a card called Zeus.
If they were directly competing it would be called Olympian. That doesn't really have any zing to it though lol.

R10. Quite soon though, I think 290X owners might be a bit upset.
I found a few other people on the forum who saw it too, so at least I'm not going crazy.
In relation to whoever said troll earlier, I dont think Btarunr is a troll, as he's the main news editor for TPU, and they tend not to post anything unless there is evidence enough to do so.
The post got deleted, so maybe W1zzard asked for it to be removed as there was insufficient evidence to post it. Or Btarunr accidentally leaked something he shouldn't have.
In any case, I don't think AMD can release a GPU more powerful than the 290X without addressing their heat and power situation. Whatever Zeus may or may not be, you heard of it here first
