Gibbo is this another AMD fake msrp AMD aib rebate for launch only....

Wizz from TPU said this:

Every single board partner that I talked to, who was willing to discuss pricing, said that the MSRP of $350 is a fantasy, and it will be impossible to reach without kickbacks from AMD. Usually such campaigns are limited to a certain number of GPUs sold, or a certain percentage of the overall volume, so prices won't last. I guess we'll know more soon, but realistically, I'd expect the RX 9060 XT 16 GB to sell for $400+, and the 8 GB model for $350+, possibly higher, depending on demand.

Short version: MSRP should remain possible or at least very close to it, and for plenty of time at OcUK as we made a huge commitment stock wise! :)

Long version: There is a rebate (we have huge stocks, so a huge rebate), to make hitting MSRP easier, however I personally feel even without said rebate I can hit MSRP if willing to break even (on at least one SKU), based on this I feel on actual MSRP models like Pulse and Reaper we will be able to maintain the MSRP, but it is tight, whilst pound remains at 1.35 to the USD we can just about hold MSRP (£314.99) on the 16G Pulse / Reaper cards, but with margins tight if the pound slips or supply weakens then from a business point of view we will have to increase the price. Now of course the AIB in the end sets the price, so if for their July price list they increase pricing that is out of my control, but June pricelist from AIB's shows that MSRP or close to it should remain achievable for whole of June, if prices change however is an unknown. For example 5090's increased by around $100 across the board in past week, hence our £1879 deal had to end and even the £1999 cards will be a struggle in coming week or two.

In short OcUK committed to nearly 2000 units for launch, as such we have MSRP support for over 1000 cards, we spend more, to give our customers a bigger chance of a getting the best deal (more cards at MSRP), so OcUK takes the risk/gamble to make the product available to more and MSRP pricing lasting for plenty of time in theory, but we hope this MSRP or very close to it shall remain in force on at least one entry level card going forward permanently. :)

In short DAY ONE pricing (tomorrow) will be the best pricing on these cards, once the support is gone the cards which were £314.99 will probably become £324.99 - £339.99 so thankfully though an increase it is nowhere near as drastic as the quoted comment.

If day 1 is £269 / £315 in UK
Day 2 might look like £279 / £329
Day 3 could still be £269 / £315

So really still a great price, but if you want the best price, order at 2pm tomorrow on day one, simple as that, but there is zero room for scalpers as if we move prices up it will be a maximum of £10-30 and trying to scalp to make £20 really makes it not worth at all so hopefully scalpers will swerve this product just like they did 5060 Ti which still remains at MSRP to this day (£399). :)

Personally I feel $299 / $349 MSRP is realistic this time round, particular for USA, margins are very slim for reseller but it is a mainstream product and we are willing to be as aggressive as possible to maintain it within reason, any variance from MSRP I feel will be down due to a lack of supply (supply and demand kicking in) or a potential price shift. :)

Common sense would suggest no. :)

MSRP will be the base cards such as Powercolor Reaper and Sapphire Pulse. So a card with extra features like a Pure (White) or a Nitro (overclocked) will of course cost more as

Thanks for sharing. I'll definately be hoping to snatch one tomorrow

As I say we went big!

For those who want best chance tomorrow:

Sapphire Pulse 8G = Most 8G stock
Sapphire Pulse 16G = Most 16G stock

The two above are at MSRP and are available in huge quantity, around 100pc on 8G and 1000pc on 16G to sell at MSRP, we expect these to last several days so should be no rush but I'd advise anyone planning to buy to do so tomorrow just in case the demand is greater than expected.

How quickly is it anticipated these will sell, is this going to be one of those order in 5 seconds kinda thing?

I doubt it we have 2000 and about 1000 of those are MSRP and our estimations are to sell circa 500 tomorrow and around 1000 by next week so there should be no need to rush.

What I can guarantee is they won’t be going below MSRP this month if at all and prices could raise a little so tomorrow is best time to buy.

Cheers, I'll let my brother know, pretty sure he is going to order a 16gb Pulse.
