Must confess the lack of real information/benchies and price detail has become annoying, particularly around the 290x

Are Amd hiding something, you have to wonder why they are asking for pre orders with no specs and no price confirmed, bit of a leap if you ask me. Anyway I've chosen my path and gone xfire 7950 and I must admit this is partly because I suspect the 290X will disappoint, I sincerely hope I am wrong.
