AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

I can only get around a max of 1150/1690 max memory from my R9295x2 with full waterblock.

Its perfect for me and jumps performance up quite a bit.

But like 8Pack said i could get 1200 with perfect temps but the board power causes issues... if only i could get more than 50% power target lol
going to get a 290x around christmas time and run them all @1150/1690 ;)

Just hope 1250w OCZ psu is powerfull enough for 3 cards.. otherwise going to need a new psu

The MSI AB has unlocked for me the mV bar to add more power. However I do not know how far I can push it for maximum safe to be honest along with the +50% more power. :/

@Blitzkrieg

Yeah indeed. I put bit TW Rome 2 last night and was mind blowing. TESO on the other hand was bit weird last night.

Not that faster than with the single 780. Has no profile, while tried default, FARP and 1x1 in vain. Like everyone else suggested... :/

But I will find solution to the problem..... Going to install tonight Tomb Raider though :D

Where do you find all these Crossfire profiles? Can't see them in CCC for instance.

To see them on 14.7 RC3 you need to make a custom profile for the application, and is at the bottom of the settings....

Surprisingly the AMD Evolve client doesn't display the settings you force from the CCC on that area even if yuo make custom CCC settings for a program.
And I bet that the bad performance on TESO happens because Evolve applies it's settings, and since it cannot find a AMD profile for TESO does nothing, instead of applying the custom setting from CCC where I tried Default/Farp/1x1.

I will confirm if that is the case tonight, because I had Evolve off this morning when logged in TESO to get the hirelings and the fps were sky high. But didn't moved a lot around since I was going to work.

Good stuff, did a 3dmark and played some War Thunder last night, and the card put out compared to my 7970 Lightning exactly what I predicted, roughly 120% increase.
Going to try Planetside 2, with a few tweaks to the .ini file to push the rendering from 1.31 up to 2. See how it handles.
If you find any settings to help improve performance for it, let us know, would love to push this further.

Sapphire have confirmed shipping me their last ever 54 units, already we have pre-sold several leaving just under 40pc FREE.

Cheers Gibbo if they are free I will take all 40 of them :)

Hi there

Sapphire have confirmed shipping me their last ever 54 units, already we have pre-sold several leaving just under 40pc FREE.

Asus only have 16pc left world wide, seeing if we can get but another country may have taken those.

Looks like the 295 X2 is pretty much all but gone, what a shame at sub £800 the sales volumes could have being huge......

Please put one aside for my RMA thanks! :)

Thank you.

Trying to figure the best option for cooling in conjunction with a H100i in the Corasir 540 case.

Am thinking of using the H100i and 295x2 to pull air into the case to cool the components and the 2 fans in the front of the case to pull the hot air out.

I just run it on a 290X at the settings below and got around the same as they did.

No idea if these scores are any good:-

That's a 285 :)

Based on Kaap's Heaven 4 thread, that score looks to put it around GTX 670 / 7950 territory (and possibly 7970, depending on the clocks of the 7950/70).

Well I did not really OC it and voltage was standard so it does look like it offers 7970 performance which for £169 is good value and it certainly beats the 760 very easily, and is right on the heels of 770. Looks a reasonable card indeed. :)
