AMD Radeon r9 390 issues

So not long ago I brought a Radeon R9 390 from overclockers and since installing it have had nothing but issues. However, now it has become worse, to the point of overheating as the fans do not come on when it is hot. It then blue screens and crashes the PC.

Any tips or am I able to get a Nvidia card instead as a replacement?

You probably have a faulty card if the fans aren't coming on at all. Your best bet would be to RMA it back to overclockers and get it replaced, Nvidia if you wish but the 390 is a really good card. You could replace it with a 970 if you want but that'd be a downgrade from a 390. :p

Before that though, have you tried a complete wipe and reinstall of the drivers? Using DDU would make sure the drivers are installed cleanly.

Yeah they come on when you use afterburner, but I don't think that is what you are supposed to do to cool down your gfx card ;)
Becomes frustrating when a card is supposed to work and isn't.

I may have to RMA it but then will be without a PC for a while... :( which as a Uni student causes issues.
