AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

Also seen 4080s at £1099 recently

That's £100 cheaper than anywhere i have seen so where ever you found that be careful. Retailers rarely have much more than a 10% margin so that is at or near cost.

Those sneaky scam sites are probably back again, seen a few pop up during launches but quickly get taken down.

Yeah, Nvidia official RRP is £1199 and that is what Nvidia sell it for, retailers don't have a margin large enough to sell them 10% cheaper than anyone else, unless its ex-display, open box or a brick i wouldn't trust it.

It was on hotukdeals and got 260 degree heat... it has gone back upto 1199 now but it was on for 1099 for a few days.

I'm only interested in where they sit with performance in both raster and RT. Frankly the ludicrously priced 4080 and yes even the 4090 means a £1k GPU that is faster than a 4080 look like a good deal.

My hope is this is the final nail in the coffin for Nvidia's pricing scams and we start to see some price drops. My preference would be an AMD GPU but will get whatever is best bang for buck. Right now the 4080 and 4090 are not it IMHO and even the 7900 XTX is only winning on price/perf by default.

I do, I'm not paying a grand for a GPU , more important things to go on

Me too these days, i would be looking for something with a 3 year warranty or higher, that used to be the industry standard, if they aren't confident enough to give you a 3 year warranty i wouldn't trust that either.
