AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

CoD players gonna love this ****!!

Mate sent me the pic, don't judge :p

Brand new architecture, much better performance for games that are optimised for it, in time the performance will grow.

We have seen this before, fine wine is back!

How are people calling this a failure? Must be watching different sources I guess.

It mostly beats the RTX 4080 and costs less, has more vram and AMD are known for improving performance with drivers.
Think the XTX raster performance is a little underwhelming, i expected a tad more tbh.

You should buy at the performance you see at the time, its a 4080 $200 cheaper, if you don't like that buy the 4080.

Because they've been reading bull **** rumours and believing them :p

TBF, AMDs very own show had the 4080 being placed quite far ahead of the 4080 but falling short of the 4090, according to some here, amd wouldn't do such a thing and they hold more weight than what nvidia did..... But as HUB said, amd got no one to blame but themselves here, nvidia ada show was bad but this just proves amd took the **** even further with deceiving slides, key words of "up to" and so on.

only if you dont want ray tracing

WIth ray tracing its **** poor
Ah okay, yeah that makes sense. I'm running a 3070 but have never really used ray tracing so I guess it's not something I think about. So this card would still beat my 3070 in ray tracing?

Ray tracing aside this AMD card looks on par with RTX 4080, beats RTX 3090 Ti and costs less than the Nvidia alternatives in same performance ballpark. I wouldn't call it a failure.

I may just wait for a refresh, prices across the board are too high imho.

Small text time:

*with considerably slower RT, even compared to ampere in some cases, worse power efficiency and consumes more power, doesn't have the same streaming/recording capabilities, doesn't have dlss, doesn't have cuda and so on
