AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

Can someone please check this - i haven't made a mistake, as im a bit shocked at the price

I just got this for £550 brand new, thats a good deal right?

Depends if you have the ability, case space, patience, time and money (another £500 on top) to build a custom loop. It's cheap for a reason
 
I don't know but those specific cards are designed to use with a custom loop. Even says so in the description. A normal air cooled 6900xt would work out much cheaper and easier

My guess is that most people who are going to take the time to do a custom loop are going to buy a real top-end graphics card. It's only a bargain if you have the loop already in place in your PC and you need an upgrade.

All settings highest with RT on the game says it will use 13GB VRAM and redlines my 12GB - But RTSS overlay shows it not exceeding 8GB VRAM use so the game is lying and coincides with what people were saying on forums about ignoring the game's VRAM warning when adjusting settings lol.

They did not change how colours/HDR look though asn it still remains pretty poor and I cannot be bothered to continue where I left off as a result :D

That looks so washed out, its just a milky grey image

If you keep an eye on the members market there will probably be someone selling second hand water cooling parts for significantly less than it costs to buy it all new.

That's a jpeg screenshot when in HDR mode, they always look washed out since it's a direct jpeg capture to SDR. Screenshot was more for the perf stats. In person the game is washed out/grey though, no matter what mode it's in or what brightness sliders are adjusted.

Edit: To be fair I thought Grim had made a uninformed comment on that image, seems he did not :p

Anyway, back on topic. I hear the 7900 XTX's are selling like hot cakes? :)

I know everybody is going to scream at me but I have received and successfully installed my Sapphire 7900 XT (reference design) today.

I was really worried about the noise and potential coil whine but so far nothing bad to report :)

I'm not planning to go for any crazy overlocking or anything, just going to try a gentle undervolt and see where it takes me.

Seen that on hotukdeals, from the rainforest? its now £1139 with 1 in stock. Would have snapped one up if I'd seen it at £550
