AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

Hmm a few xtx in bgrade, dodgy hotpot returns? OCUK need to get their bgrade person to check this section out more often and reduce pricing.

might as well post it again

ah no thats not how it works ... when a company screws up(according to reddit/youtube) you got to make a separate thread abt it

see exhibit below:

Shouldn't even be selling them, send them back to wherever they came from.

Just saw the video. I wonder if it wasn't their stubbornness that 110C is fine, that they missed that the card was having to protect itself during QA testing.

AMD would have to walk away from the console market to actually have this happen. It’s just a stupid made up story. We are in a recession and crypto mining isn’t happening so people aren’t spending money on GPUs. It’s not anymore complicated than that.

We are also no longer in lockdown so the record "need" of GPUs no longer exists people aren't trapped inside so no longer need something to do.

Just to add.

Nvidia and AMd both priced their GPUs as though Crypto Mining is booming, we're not in a recession/cost of living crisis, we are in lockdowns and extreme volumes of work from home.

They both priced their cards with their eyes blind to reality and their minds focused on greed.

AMD marketing with egg on its face yet again. Get your own house in order before taking the **** out of others.

Worst of all the Nvidia fiasco was user error. This one is an actual defect. This is apart from the beta state of the drivers and efficiency performance.
50 game bench

I bet Nvidia will take it's sweet time releasing the 4090 Ti as judging by this performance, there is no way the XTX is getting close to the 4090 even with FineWine

1% slower with RT games included in not bad.

Tho yes i have no doubt Nvidia will still feel justified in charging 800 or $900 for the 4070Ti, the question is do you?

He has not enabled RT in all the 50 games tested. Cyberpunk, Watch Dogs Legion, Dying Light were shown with RT disabled.

He also included massive outliers like the MW2 data points twice to pad the AMD score and the major RT benchmark in Fortnite was flawed as he used software ray tracing to benchmark instead of hardware which is much superior in quality. The RTX cards are largely unaffected with this option while AMD suffers a hit. He posted a tweet and deleted it when pointed out.

Personally I don't think any of the cards below the 4090 are worth it if you are on a 3000 or 6000 series card. None of those cards ever had any trouble playing rasterised games maxed out even at 4k so the only reason to upgrade would be RT which is most compelling on the 4090.
