Oh no, not again! Let’s hope it’s not the train wreck that was the RX480.

Sure, direct from the AMD Store. O wait...$999 translates to £978 including VAT could end up getting the cards for around £999 after all!
No way in holy heckfire will vendors be selling 7900xtx for £999. They may slog out the tired "look! we sold 5 reference cards at RRP" excuse to save face, but it's gonna be £1200 and up, mark my words.Well..
Current exchange rates are looking good!

Yes I am a little lost. Just interested really as I had one that I swapped from a gtx970 (needed more vram) and thought it was a cracking card. Kept it for several years. What was wrong with it ?

When the RX480 first came out let’s say the performance was a little underwhelming. However over time the drivers got a lot better and the performance went up and up.Yes I am a little lost. Last time I bought an AMD card multiple vendors including the Sapphire one I bought sold reference cards in the UK at MRSP that was the RX480 few years ago now but they were around and will hopefully be so again.Sure, direct from the AMD Store. O wait...

Edit: 1.23 pound/dollar is "looking good"? LOL, as it were.

Pretty sure it was originally billed as the “overclockers dream” or some similar crap but ended up barely overclocking at all.
I used one for a couple of years and eventually it couldn’t even keep its out the box clocks, never mind an OC.
Fair enough. I bought one at 199 on offer with 8gb and it did me well so was just interested in what was wrong with it. Was a fair card for the price I thought.I remember following that closely as I bought one.
It was good for what it was a very good mid fielder but man did AMD and Raja overhype the hell out of it
It was a company trying to talk as though they had top tier components but only releasing lower mid tier products.

No, Raja used that term for the Fury X.Pretty sure it was originally billed as the “overclockers dream” or some similar crap but ended up barely overclocking at all.
