AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

There seem to be a ton of bad rumours starting around the 7900's.

Looks better than a 4080 but worse than a 4090 but cheaper. About what I would expect.

Look like UK will receive very few RX 7900 series cards.

Maybe not such a bad thing that stocks are low.

Igors lab also says the 7900xtx and 7900xt are still suffering from memory problems that are causing system crashes, so maybe it's better not to be an early adopter of new MCM tech until it's ironed out

Im in it for the fire sales! ala 6900xt for £650. Probably be over a year though! :D

You missed it!
Asrock deal been and gone I am afraid. Plus once 7900 series drops, any last scraps of 6800 and 6900 series will get eaten up fast due to how much cheaper they cost, solid performing cards in the £500-£700 are a rare thing now and what is coming gets not even remotely close to such a price bracket in the short term.

Considering brexit happened a few years ago now, if a big company like AMD can't find a way to do business in the UK then it's no supprise they keep losing marketshare to Nvidia.
I'm sure they can if they felt it was worth it, but they don't. We're just not a big enough market to be worth it.

Not disagreeing with you, but that’s when they gave up on the UK.

Do we have a proper reference figure, to compare these numbers to?

It is reported that in about a month Nvidia sold/shipped around 130,000 cards in about a month or 35,500 cards per week. Assuming EAME is getting half of AMDs stock that puts them within a reasonable distance to what Nvidia achieved. It doesn't tell us if that is good or bad though.

Could someone who speaks German double check what Igors article says in german, because in english he reports

While some sources speculate with only 10,000 reference cards each for EMEA

Is this amongst AIBs? Is "each" a grammatical error or him misunderstanding his source?
