AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

In fairness by end of January the 6900/6950 XT's won't exist any more or be so few they will no doubt be around £800.

Do you see the Nvidia 3000 series running out too or would they last a lot longer considering they havn't been as aggressive in price cuts?

Either way if reviews drop on Monday i'm hoping your prices will too! Ill be either aiming for a 7900xtx or pick up the £700 deal on that 6900XT if there's any left!

Yeh hopefully they react at the top level and lower the 4000 series once the stock is cleared.

Though checking the 4080s now this could be a threat to the 7900XTX

Nvidia 4080 for under £1200 depending on how much faster Rasta is i can see some people opting for the 4080 at those prices for the RT performance and sacrificing a little rasta performance.

Yes we already have no 3090 or 3080 left, NVIDIA do plan on keeping 3080 10G for short term but stock is still rather tight as they want that to sit in the £650-700 price region, but 3080 12G and above is now EOL and all stock has pretty much sold out world wide, so the new 4070Ti will sit between 3080 10G and 4080 for now.

No one is opting for the 4080 at over a grand.

The ones we have at £1169 are selling pretty well now, could still be better but I am happy with the sales on them. :)

i saw the buildzoid video about how much palit skimped out on components on that board and still charging sky high price so no thanks

Well it seems Gibbo confirmed they do haha.

But yeh at under £1200 i can see more people buying them. I can see them being under £1100 or even under £1000 within a few months though tbh and ultimatly this price point will be compared with the more expensive 7900XTX AIB models. So it seems.

I should have checked the store fist! couple of weeks ago there was loads but now it's all out of stock, how things can change so quickly..

TBH they are just ugly af cards in general, i'm not too bothered about how cards look in general, but when something looks like it's been designed by Claires Accessories they can jog on.

if 4080's are selling then its bad news for gamers/consumers. People need to resist and not cave or these stupid prices will be the norm. But still, judging by how long the 4090 FE's in other regions and 4080 FE's have sat for ages without selling, im confident things will change in the next few months and we'll see some large price drops.

Even at under £1000 i wouldn't touch it, the price is garbage and should be treated as such.

Claires accessories haha, yeah i never understood the weird crystal rock pattern shroud they did. It looks tacky imo!

TBH I still have worries about the new power connection, i know it's 100% user error and if seated correctly it wont be a problem, but i just don't trust it, i can knock my computer now and again and I would be worried about the GPU getting wrecked.
If it was around £800 I probably would it's about £300-£400 too expensive for me atm with that flawed power design. I'd go to £900-£1000 if it was 3x8pin though.

I'm willing to go to £1100 for a 7900XTX depending on performance reviews on Monday.

My crystal ball predicts come February next year some GPU's will certainly drop further.

As a matter of interest what tend to be the poorest quality boards? I've had many different brands in the past (including Palit who are actually the biggest graphics card seller) and never had any complaints. Only card I ever took back to the shop was a Zotac simply because it was too hot and noisy but that was 15 years ago
