AMD RDNA3 unveiling event

That deal is looking better all the time, a top of the line 6900xt

I agree and this is what I've been saying, it's hard to see how AMD or nvidia will release anything much faster at a similar price point to this, these new architectures are one big fail unless your paying silly money and buying the top card.

I mean i doubt it, the first benchmark is showing better cyberpunk performance than the 4090.

I mean if it is i'd be impressed.
I mean he has the video here. But it smells like click bait BS to me.

Ah fair i didn't see that video I googled a few benchmarks, but as we can't see averages it doesn't mean much.

Would be more useful if the 4080 was in it.

It's also not fair comparisons. In the Cyberpunk video the roads are empty on the 4090 but on the "7900"s there's more cars and collisions.

Mind you if true the 7900xtx has become an attractive prospect again.

Do you think they are aware of this though and riding the gravy train for past two years? I mean the flagship cards from last gen were the 6800XT and the 3080 10GB both supposed to retail for just under £700. Now its only really AMD that has dropped below msrp two years on and there has been enough stock on shelves to highlight that it isnt mining/scalping/other excuse at play here.

So they mention the new gen is going to cost more, however those paying attention and regularly buy components especially on here will know that equates to whatever the 7800XT/4080 equivalent is this gen and they should be around £800 if your generous with the 10% markup.

Right now they are not at these prices, so my conclusion is the market will adjust once people stop buying them at £900 and £1200 respectively.

It must be a software bug though no way AMD would be that stupid to nto be able to power it enough.

Mind you looking like AIB is the way to go.

Well it is amd :p

They give the 4090/power connector flack for catching fire, if this is true, wonder if they will get flack for not providing enough power

:p

One thing is for sure, I'm stocking up on the popcorn now for Monday :D

Maybe amd are the ones who need to price cut now :p
So the card is power constrained. According to this.

So the key points to look out for is does it achieve the fps AMD detailed in their announcement if yes. Will AIB cards be power limited or can they do turn it up. Because we could see a decent performance gap between reference and AIBs.

If they’ve found a fix for N32 then they will most likely find a fix for n31. It will make a mid cycle refresh, actually decent.
