Seems AMD have been hard at it, the list of improvements looks great, especially the custom profile stuff and the ability to change/force crossfire modes.

About time as well. Was just looking to ditch my xfire 5870 and pickup 2 nvidia cards. Might hang on now.

will be very interesting this especially in bf3 and how poorly msaa is in game maybe a lot better with ati fingers crossed.

Obviously the driver team's had their asses kicked ahead of the 7900 series launch. AMD is expecting to lead the market (for a while at least, possibly until GTX 600 series) in performance for single chip cards, and as such they're looking to capitalise on this and charge for these cards appropriately. Charging premium coinage for a card that *just doesn't work as advertised* is muchos badness - which is why I think they're rectifying these issues as quickly as they can ahead of a January 7900 series launch.

Well, it installed OK. Still a bit wary of the reputation of AMD drivers after years of problem-free nVidia :)

Downloading now, but I have zero confidence. AMD's drivers have never been as bad as they are right now, and I've been using them for years.

These drivers are made of major fail, on my HDTV there's still 10 pixel-deep underscan even on maximum overscan settings. The picture isn't using the whole display anymore.

For **** sake.

Have you tried...

KNiVES have you set your TV to "scan only" mode in picture options?

My ATI card for connecting via HDMI always underscanned until I realised it was a picture mode setting on the TV.

Downloading now, thanks. :) Had great success with the latest 11.11a and 11.11c drivers (albeit on my single GPU setup, so no Crossfire woes here). Let's give these a whirl. :)

May strictly be true for AMD but they are far from the worst ATI drivers ever got :D In the days of the Rage Pro you literally had to change between 4-5 different drivers depending on which game you wanted to play.
