:Edit: Ah just read the link. I think I assumed by the OP that you actually meant 8-16 cores in one chip. By reading it is seems it's a matter of multicore multicpu's i.e 8 CPU's all with 2 cores.

You do realise that article is dated from March 2006 and claims availability within 30 days....
You do also realise that's the story hasn't been picked up anywhere else...
