Currently got a RTX 3080 and AMD 5600X gaming at 2K

Just watching loads of reviews on new 34" UltraWide monitors 2K because I wanted a little upgrade. Then spotted the price of the 5800X3D CPU and wonder if that would help my RTX3080 and could go 4K ?

If I kept at 2K gaming would the 5800X3D CPU and RTX3080 gain much benefits over the current 5600X in my machine ? I assume its only on CPU restricted games where the gains really happen ?
 
i dont see how increasing ur resolution will enable ur processor to contribute towards 4K gaming more than it does now.
cpu is going to be the bottleneck moreso on lower resolutions than higher ones.
 
The main improvements at that resolution would be when you use DLSS but even then it's not going to be much and you could gain a similar boost by tuning your ram which will only cost you a few hours of your time.
